PCF casework manager gets dual reward after intense surgery
PUTNAMVILLE -- A display of support for correctional staff was recently witnessed by the Putnamville Correctional Facility (PCF).
The CPAFI (Correctional Professionals Assistance Fund of Indiana) has again helped one of the employees at PCF with monetary assistance.
Of late, an intense surgery has taken Karumathil Kumaran, a casework manager to the PLUS (Purposeful Living Units Serve) program, away from the facility on a short hiatus.
However, there have been two blessings bestowed upon Kumaran. Not only was he handed a check from the CPAFI to help with his finances and work loss, but Kumaran also just received his United States citizenship verification and is now an official American citizen.
The PLUS program has made a recent donation of $2,500 to the Gary, Ind., project and has definite plans to give back more funds to help the community.
Casework Manager Kumaran has been a strong advocate in giving donations to the community with the PLUS program's help, however now he is the recipient of a gift that comes from other staff members who care.
PCF officials said the facility is looking forward to having him back at work soon.
