State Auditor Crouch speaks at Greencastle NFIB meeting
State Auditor Suzanne Crouch spoke Tuesday at the Greencastle meeting of the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB).
"Small businesses account for 64 percent of net new private-sector jobs and employ 49 percent of the private-sector workforce," Auditor Crouch advised an audience at Almost Home on the courthouse square in Greencastle.
"These businesses are the lifeblood of the Hoosier economy," she added. "Our state greatly benefits from small business owners taking the risk of starting and growing their companies in Indiana, and the NFIB is a great partner in helping them achieve their goals."
Auditor Crouch shared with the group her duties and responsibilities as the state auditor and information specific to small business legislation and growth opportunities.
"I appreciation the opportunity to speak with such talented, dedicated Hoosiers," Auditor Crouch said. "The NFIB does a wonderful job of helping small business owners and entrepreneurs expand their industry and make a place for themselves among thriving Indiana commerce."

Appointed in 2014 as Indiana's 56th state auditor, Crouch serves as the state's chief financial officer.
Prior to becoming state auditor, Crouch served eight years as the state representative for Indiana House District 78 in Southern Indiana.
