Austin Chase White

Austin Chase White, 5, Greencastle, passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 in Sarasota Fla., from his battle with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD).

Austin was born September 2, 2008 in Avon to Steven and Stephannie White of Greencastle, where he resided with his two sisters and twin brother.

Austin attended preschool at Deer Meadow Primary School, Greencastle. He loved school very much and grew very close to all the staff there. Austin had a huge heart and an even larger smile and the brightest blue eyes that made everyone fall in love with him. He will be missed by all.

Survivors include his parents, Steven and Stephannie White; his siblings, Madisynn, Landon, and Brooklynn; his great grandparents, Howard and Marie Tippin of Greencastle; grandparents Bob and Nancy Ballew of Bradenton, Fla. and Steve and Deanne White of Cloverdale; and several cousins.

Austin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary "Craig" Wood, uncle Corylee Yockey and great grandparents Don and Wilma Holt and Hank and Gertrude White.

Donations for the family can be made at any Teachers Credit Union for Austin under his parents, Stephannie and Steven White.

Their will be a celebration of life in honor of Austin on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Greencastle Presbyterian Church, 653 S. CR 100 East, Greencastle, from 5-5:30 p.m. for family and close friends and from 5:30-8 p.m. for the public.
