Robert Wayne Jones

Robert Wayne Jones, 84, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014.

Born and raised in Chadd Valley, he graduated from Fillmore High School in 1948.

Bob co-owned Jones Construction Company with his father Foster. He also owned Rose's Fresh Eggs with his wife Rose.

They moved to Florida in 1975 and started Suncoast Shade & Shutter in Sarasota. He built a home in Keystone Heights, Fla., where they enjoyed great times on the lake fishing and boating. Bob and Rose have resided at The Palms of Largo for the last few years.

He was a member of Central Christian Church of Clearwater.

He is preceded in death by his parents Foster and Edna Jones, brothers Richard L. Jones and Norman Jones and one daughter Carolyn S. Jones Hutchins.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose; children Janet Jones Bazini (John), Steve Stone (Terrie), Marcia L. Stone and Connie E. Jones Pope (Paul); grandchildren Jeffery Anton (Katie), Aaron Anton (Julia), Adam Bazini (Jana), Alon Bazini (Jen), Melanie Sanders (Barry), Chris Fetzer (Stacy), Brittany McCall (Willie) and Hannah Gandoff; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A small service is taking place on Saturday, Aug. 23 at Moss-Feaster Funeral Home. Interment will be at Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life service will be planned for later this year.
