Enrique 'Quico' Rivera Prats

Enrique "Quico" Rivera Prats, 83, of Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away on Sept. 12, 2014.

Born Sept. 25, 1930 in San German, Puerto Rico, Quico retired from Queens Group Indiana in 1990.

He retired from military service in 1992 after serving his country for 24 years. Quico served in the United States Marine Corps and United States Army. He also served in the Puerto Rico Air National Guard, New York Air National Guard and Indiana Air National Guard.

He is a life member and honored veteran of the Panama City Beach VFW Post 10555.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosa Rivera Ferrer; children Ivonne Julia Rivera (Tom) of Greencastle, and Victor Elliott Rivera (Richard) of Miami, Fla.; a brother, Jose Rivera Prats, Oklahoma; grandchildren Michael Below Jr., Rachael Below Allee (James), David Martens II, and great-grandson Kaden Below.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Enrique Rivera Vives and Julia Prats Velez, and siblings Julio, Ruben and Iris Rivera Prats.

He lived a long and happy life. He loved unconditionally, forgave often and cherished us all. Let us spread the seed of love he sowed into each of our hearts. Quico gave us the special gift of many special moments and many special memories.
