Nolan's Ninjas whiffleball tourney to take place Sept. 27

The family of Nolan O'Hair, a little boy who suffers from the effects of autism, is seeking participants for the second annual whiffleball tournament, which will benefit the benefit the Autism Speaks Foundation on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The double-elimination whiffle ball tournament, will take place on the baseball diamonds behind Fillmore Elementary beginning at 11 a.m.

Entry fee is $60 per team with nine players (coed optional) maximum per team. Entries will be accepted all the way up to 10 a.m. Saturday when Nolan throws out the first pitch to begin the festivities.

Besides the whiffleball tournament, prizes, giveaways and concessions are also planned Saturday.

In addition to entering the event, anyone can donate to "Nolan's Ninjas," the name of his fundraiser effort, by dropping off a check (made out to Nolan's Ninjas) or cash to to Ashley O'Hair at the Putnam County Jail.
