Geraldine Ann Havens

Geraldine Ann Havens (Monty), 79, of Coatesville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014 in the comfort of her home.

Born May 25, 1935 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of George and Lillie F. (Oakes) Tolson.

She was married to John W. Havens Jr. for 55 years, and he survives.

Gerrie graduated as an RN from the St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1956.

She was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church.

She also taught weekly religious education at Mill Creek West.

Gerrie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Cyndie Lukenbill (Douglas) Coatesville, Anne Smith (Mark), Stilesville, John W. Havens III (Vicky), Coatesville, and Lisa Comer (Michael), Coatesville; eight grandchildren, Cortnaye (Daniel), Ryanne (Michael), Garrett (Amy), Shelbi, Morgan (Cody), Brody (Jessica), John W. Havens IV and Ty (Lauren); two great-grandchildren, Haylee and Dakota; a sister, Sylvia Fox (Glenn), Mooresville; a sister-in-law, Nancy Tolson, Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, a sister, Jeannie Dittemore, and a brother, Jack Tolson, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the New Providence Baptist Church, 6526 S. County Road 550 East, Greencastle.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the church with Pastor Brice LeBlanc officiating.

Interment will follow at a later date in the Coatesville Cemetery.
