Claude R. Lister

Claude R. Lister, 83, New Winchester, died at his home on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014.

Born Jan. 8, 1931, he was the son of William E. and Nora (Farley) Lister.

He married Marguerite (Page) Lister on April 30, 1950. She died on July 20, 2009.

He is survived by his sister, Mary E. Kolaiser; his sons, David, Larry (Cathy), Darrell (Karen) Lister, and his daughter, Tricia Lister (husband Don Wells).

He was preceded in death by brothers William A., George E., Norman E. and Earl Lister, and sisters Hazel I. Tibbett and Vesta E. Myers.

A member of the Danville Calvary Church of the Nazarene, he taught Sunday school for 50 years.

He liked watching Cincinnati Reds baseball and one of the hobbies he loved was amateur radio, as he operated under the call sign, K9ICK.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Danville Calvary Church of the Nazarene with services following immediately with Pastor David W. Stewart officiating.

Burial will be at New Winchester Cemetery.
