5K Monster Dash set for Saturday, Nov. 1

Local Girl Scouts are inviting runners and walkers to take part in their 5K Monster Dash on Saturday, Nov. 1.

The 6:30 p.m. walk at Big Walnut Sports Park will not only be a chance to dress up in costume and get active, but will help the Girl Scouts make the community a better place.

Costume prizes will be given for the funniest, scariest, prettiest, most original and most resourceful.

Donations of nonperishable food items, socks, gloves, hats, and hygiene products will be collected the night of the event to help Beyond Homeless and families in need. All donations are appreciated.

The fee to enter is $25 per adult and $20 for children 12 and younger. Proceeds from the dash help the local Girl Scouts to complete service projects within the community.

Awards will be given for the top three in each age/gender category for the dash. Registration includes T-shirt and goody bag for children.
