LaDonna Kelly

LaDonna Rae Kelly, 76, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014.

Born March 17, 1938 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of James T. and Elsie (Chiles) McNeff.

LaDonna was a 1956 graduate of Greencastle High School and received her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from DePauw University.

She married Marvin Kelly on April 1, 1956, and he survives.

LaDonna was a school teacher with South Putnam School Corporation, having taught elementary school for Belle Union and Reelsville, retiring in 2001.

She was a member of PEO and the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Greencastle, serving as co-president of the Christian Women's Fellowship and as a deacon.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin; children Rick (Dena) Kelly, Randy (Sharon) Kelly, Bob (Jane) Kelly, Ellen (Scott) Johnson, Jill (Kelly) Lazzell and Maria Kelly; a brother, Ronnie (Lois) McNeff; 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judy McNeff.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Dr. Paul Champion officiating.

Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ladonna's memory to the donor's favorite charity.
