Still Time to sign up for Affordable Care Act

Johnson Nichols Health Clinic will be sponsoring two enrollment days for any Putnam County residents who haven't signed up for Health Insurance on the Marketplace, better known as Obamacare.

The events will be held at the Putnam County Public Library 6-7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.

Open enrollment ends on Feb. 15 and many consumers will have to pay a penalty if they are not insured in 2015. Two certified Navigators will be available to answer questions and start enrollment for those ready to sign up. Tax credits are available for those whose income is under 400 percent of the federal poverty level. A family of four can make up to $95,000 and still be eligible for tax credits that help pay for monthly insurance premiums.
