Clayton Roy Homler

Clayton Roy Homler, 71, of Greencastle, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Aug. 2, 1943 in Ballville, Ohio, he was the son of Alfred and Geneva (Stewart) Homler.

He married Judith M. King, and she survives.

Clayton had worked as a commercial fisherman for DeMores Fish House in Sandusky, Ohio.

He also had worked at DePauw University Lilly Center and Walden Inn.

His hobbies included fishing, building motorcycles and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Kristine Homler (Marty Goon), Genoa, Ohio; sons Justin Homler (April Billingsley) and Clayton Homler (Valerie Serviss), Greencastle; grandchildren Crystal, Greg and Nicole Roddy, Ezea, Alex, Jake, Dane, Lola, Jackson, Hanah, Taylor, Trevor, Hallie and Mason Homler; great-grandchildren Sean Carter and Lily Roddy; brothers Quillen and Ernie of Fremont, Ohio; Kenny (Hilga) Homler, Gibsonburg, Ohio; sisters Shirley (Pete) Weichmen, Oakharbor, Ohio; Blanch Hineline, Bayview, Ohio, and Judy Cress (Herby), Fremont, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, brothers Frances, Alfred, Norman and infant Gilbert Homler, sisters Phyllis Toth, Joyce Fisher and infant grandson Trenton Tyler.

Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, March 20 at Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville.

Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday with Pastor Rick Fay officiating.
