Jack Wesley Walker, 86, of Greencastle, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.

Jack was born on March 31, 1929 at Crawfordsville, the son of Jack Ernest and Edith Marie Pierce Walker.

He grew up in the Waynetown area and graduated from Waynetown High School in 1947 before serving in the U.S. Army in Korea.

Jack married Penelope J. Roach on Aug. 13, 1959, and they later divorced and remained good friends throughout his life. They formerly lived in the Hillsboro area for many years.

He worked as a sale representative for Blitz Builders a builder of farm buildings.

Jack was known for his passion for the Chicago Cubs and IU basketball and he enjoyed hunting, gardening and doting on his great-grandkids.

Jack is survived by his son, Kyle Walker (wife Laurie) of Greencastle, and his daughter, Kittina Jones (husband Carl) of Attica; his former wife, Penelope Walker of Covington; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton Rd., Waynetown, at 2 p.m. Monday, April 20 with the Rev. Bill Nickle officiating.

Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until the services on Monday.
