Ed Posthauer, 79, of Ladoga, passed away on Friday, April 17 surrounded by his loving family and his beloved Staffordshire terrier, Max.

He was born to Vincent Posthauer and Lucille (Grabman) Posthauer on July 27, 1935.

He was married to Sharon (Zachary) Posthauer on Dec. 12, 1970. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include his brother, Vince Posthauer of Brownsburg; his children, Pam Posthauer of Greencastle, Buddy (Doris) Posthauer of Crawfordsville, Ronald Posthauer of Ladoga, and Amber (Shane) Tilton, of Westfield; stepsons Eric (Teresa) Gray of Gainesville, Fla., and Sean (Debbie) Gray of Rockville; stepdaughter Natalie Leslie.

He had 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, of whom he was very proud.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert (Bobby) Posthauer.

He was the owner/operator of several pizza shops, the latest of which was Pizza To Go in Bainbridge, where he had done business for more than 30 years.

At his request, there will be no formal funeral services.
