Robert Wayne "Butch" "Bob" Blue, 91, Greencastle, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

His is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carol L. (Clark) Blue; children Robert W. (Linda) Blue Jr., Robin K. Lucas and Terrie L. (Doug) Daugherty; grandchildren Stephanie Lucas (Greg Glassburn), Eric Blue (Cheryl Baxter), Carrie Hubbard (Ryan Thompson), Holly Patterson (Stacy) and Houston Cherry (Kayla); stepgranddaughter Tasha Daugherty; great-grandchildren Rylan Lucas, Maegan Blue, Kaylee Hubbard, Braedan Blue, Eva Hubbard, Bentley Downing, Laylah Downing, Rance Glassburn, Maelee Cherry and step-great-grandchildren Myaha Teague, Justin and Brayden Baxter and Madi and Mason Thompson; brother-in-law Steve Clark (Barbara); sister-in-law Donna Clark; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar E. and Ida A. (Hurst) Blue; sisters Janie McCammack, Louise Bridges, Ernestine Blue and LaDonna Ringo; and an infant brother.

He co-owned Blue and Bridges Texaco, worked at Francis Stone Quarry and retired from Allison's.

He was a World War II veteran, a 50-year past master of the Cloverdale Masonic Lodge 132 and a member of the Scottish Rites, Cloverdale American Legion, Greencastle Moose Lodge and VFW. He was a member of the Putnamville United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 2 at the Putnamville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. with the service starting immediately after. Masonic Rites and Military Rites will be included.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Putnamville United Methodist church or Big Walnut Baptist church of Reelsville.
