Donald L. Scales

Donald L. Scales, 78, Indianapolis, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015.

He was born Feb. 28, 1937 in Indianapolis to Milton Oscar and Rose Mamie (Wells) Scales.

Donald had worked and retired from Allison's and was a member of UAW.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his wife, Shirley; children Donald Scales, Sean Scales, Bethany Thurman, Ramona Rose Hayes, Laurel (Guy) Scales, Lisa Sikkink, Michelle Gist, Amy Williams, Laschel Scales, Desmond Scales, Dallas Scales, Chet Scales and Ryan Scales; 32 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by children Daniel, Angie and Marlene Scales and grandchildren Joshua Scales, Nicole Milam and Amber Scales.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd., Indianapolis.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
