BRODY PERRINE, son of Patrick Perrine of Roachdale and Charlene Zimmerman of Lebanon, was recently inducted into the Franklin chapter of Psi Chi, the international honor society of psychology.

Psi Chi, founded in 1927, is an international society that recognizes academic achievement and promotes creative development for students studying psychology.

Franklin established its Psi Chi chapter in the fall of 2010. The chapter helps provide funding for students to attend the annual Midwestern Psychology Association Conference held in Chicago. The group also participates in at least one community service project each year.

Inducted students become lifelong members of Psi Chi. Eligible students must have declared a major or minor in psychology, be a second semester sophomore, have completed nine credit hours in psychology courses, have a 3.0 grade point average and be in the top 35 percent of the class.
