Robert Earl Greene

Robert Earl Greene, 80, of Bainbridge, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015.

Born Sept. 9, 1934 in Parke County, he was the son of Robert R. and Mary Elizabeth (DePlanty) Greene and was a 1952 graduate of Bellmore High School.

He married Kathryn (Wittenmyer) Greene on Sept. 30, 1955.

Robert was a supervisor with Mallory Capacitor, where he had worked for more than 40 years.

He was baptized at the Russellville Community Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Greene; children Mike (Kim) Greene, Steve (Cheryl) Greene, Kathy McCollough and Diane (Marty) Fordice; son-in-law Jeff O'Neal; brothers Russell (Joanne) Greene, Ernie (Nola) Greene and Jack (Glenda) Greene; a sister, Betty Thomas and friend Wayne; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Teresa O'Neal; three brothers, Harold, Max Duane and Raymond Greene; and a sister, Francis Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rockville.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 and from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27 at the funeral home.
