Deer Creek FWA to host free youth dove hunt

Deer Creek Fish and Wildlife Area will celebrate the State of Indiana's free youth hunting day on Saturday, Sept. 5 with a dove hunt.

In cooperation with the West Central Indiana and Wabash Valley Quail Forever Chapters, the wildlife area is hosting the hunt on the property at 2001 W. CR 600 South, Greencastle.

The goal of the day is to get individuals outdoors and try something new, potentially make some new friends and just have fun with their families.

Non-toxic shot will be provided to the youth and there will be food, snacks and drinks provided.
