Registration open for September computer classes at PCPL

Sunday, August 30, 2015

Putnam County Public Library will be offering two computer classes in September.

The computer classes being offered are lecture classes instead of the usual hands-on classes and are designed to introduce patrons to the Internet. On Monday, Sept. 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Introduction to the Internet will introduce patrons to search engines, browsers and some of the best websites on the Internet.

On Monday, Sept. 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Safety and Security on the Internet class will discuss safeguarding your privacy and keeping your computer and information secure while using the Internet.

All classes are for beginners and free and open to the public, but registration is required since space is limited.

Classes are two hours long with a break. To sign up you can view the library website at pcpl21.org, call Mike Acsbok at 653-2755 ext. 118 or stop by the circulation or reference desks at the library.
