Irene Sanders

Irene Sanders, age 84, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015.

She was born April 13, 1931 in Knightstown.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sanders, whom she married on November 9, 1951.

Irene was a homemaker and an artist, having served as the past president of the Putnam County Art League. She was a member of the Brick Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Steve (Vicki) Sanders, Paul Sanders, Kelly (Barbara) Sanders, Greg Sanders, and Tracy Lynn Taylor, along with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

The family will received friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.
