Parks Dept. sets Holiday Brickmania challenge

Friday, November 27, 2015

Who will be designated the most creative entry at this year's Holiday Challenge of Brickmania?

The Greencastle Parks and Recreations Department will receive entries in its Brickmania: Santa's Special Delivery contest from 8-9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 at City Hall. The contest is free.

Using Lego or other building blocks, contestants are challenged to build their interpretation of "Santa's Special Delivery."

All entries must also be carried into City Hall, displayed all day and judged at the monthly Park Board meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Awards will be given to first and second places in three divisions: Individual, Family and Organization.

Registration forms have a complete set of rules and are available at the Putnam County Public Library and Greencastle Pediatric Dentistry DDS. If you cannot find them there, stop by Greencastle City Hall at 1 N. Locust St., where all entries are to be dropped on Thursday.

For more information persons may contact Philip Cornelius at the Parks and Recreation Department at 653-3395 or by email at rweinschenk@cityofgreencastle.com.
