Cougars keep streak alive

CLINTON -- On Saturday North Putnam kept its winning streak alive on the road against South Vermillion. The 48-45 North Putnam victory was the fourth win in a row and seventh overall. Greencastle lost at home to Brown County 83-54. Each team will be back in action on Friday and Saturday in the Putnam County Tournament.

North Putnam (7-13) will take on South Putnam (2-13) in the third meeting of the two this season. North Putnam has taken both wins against the Eagles. Greencastle (9-8) will play Cloverdale in a rematch of the Dec. 19 game at Cloverdale where GHS won the close battle, 75-67.
