Learning Series continues with Running Effective Meeting workshop Aug. 9

The August Nonprofit Learning Series workshop, sponsored by the Putnam County Community Foundation and the Montgomery County Community Foundation, features Susan Decker who will present Purposeful Meetings and Making them Work on Aug. 9 at The Inn at DePauw.

The workshop will focus on running effective meetings.

The workshop will take place at the Inn at DePauw on Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost of the workshop is $15 if registered and paid by Aug. 2 or $25 at the door.

Decker serves as a senior governance consultant for BoardSource in Washington, D.C. She is also the director of the Master of Leadership Development program at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

Decker has extensive experience in nonprofit governance, management and fundraising at the national and local level. She conducts training and consulting on nonprofit board governance, fundraising and leadership for a wide range of nonprofit organizations and has particular expertise in facilitating board retreats and strategic planning.

Previously, Decker served in senior leadership positions at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Nonprofit Learning Series is designed to enrich and advance nonprofit associations, organizations, churches and units of government. The cost includes the workshop, a catered lunch and all workshop materials.
