Martha 'Marty' Marie Reynolds

Martha "Marty" Marie Reynolds, 83, Speedway, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at IU Health West.

Born Dec. 11, 1931 to Clifford and Hazel McMains of Greencastle, Martha was the youngest of her four siblings, Ivor, Weyburn, Alice Ann and Myron.

Martha graduated from Greencastle High School.

Martha was a loving neighbor and community members, continually helping others in need. She was a skilled cook and loved hosting dinners for neighbors, friends and family.

Additionally, Martha was a talented seamstress and crafter, frequently making gifts and toys for her grandchildren.

Martha was a passionate advocate toward the effort to promote autism awareness. She leaves behind her beloved collection of angel figurines.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, George "Bill" William Reynolds; her two daughters, Nancy Lewis (husband Fred) of New Castle, and Julie Van Matre (husband Joseph) of Lafayette; her four grandchildren, Nick and Samuel Lewis and Ryan and Jackson Van Matre; and her dear cat, Sydney.

No service is planned at this time per Martha's wishes.

A loving memorial will be held some time in the near future.
